From pouring rain to glorious sunshine

This wedding had it all!

I met Tessa through her mum Jo, Jo and I were friends through Rock Choir and little did I know that after first initially meeting that a few short years later Jo would ask me if I'd be willing to photograph her daughters wedding. I said yes! without hesitation, without worry at all about the day because Jo had faith me in me from the get go and I shall forever be grateful for the trust that Jo, Tessa, Jack and the whole family had to entrust this very special day in my capable but new wedding hands.

It would be a whole year of planning before the big day itself, I organised a cute little photo session for Tessa and Jack as a pre wedding get to know each other shoot, which I highly recommend as this really gave both Tessa and Jack a chance to feel what it would be like in front of the camera on their wedding day without the pressure of the big day itself and for them both to get a feel for my style of photography which is very relaxed.

This is just my way I am by my very nature a quiet relaxed person and this reflects in the way in which I work but don't let me calm presence fool you, I am absolutely watching every detail, every moment and every opportunity to get ''that shot'' the best way I can. I just hope that in the way I work on your wedding day it enables you to feel a calm presence and peace knowing I have got you covered as I diligently work my magic for you.

Rolling onto the wedding day itself and rain, the forecast was rain and boy did it rain! This was not going to dampen anyone's spirits, umbrellas were a plenty, the ceremony was at Tessa's local church which was close to her family home and so after the bridal sessions, I headed over to the church umbrella in tow just waiting for the moment the sun would shine because for some reason I just knew it would!

A beautiful ceremony took place and as Tessa and Jack took their vows it was as though the man himself shone through, the window's were a blaze with the most beautiful golden sunlight, it was quite the moment I can tell you and boy it did bring a tear to my eye. What a moment, what a service and this was only part 1!

Part 2 came in the form of the stunning 16th century Woodhall Manor, set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. A classic old red bus took the guests from the church service to the manor house and as the guests got to relax in the stunning grounds we set about making the most of this stunning venue and captured the family photos and those oh so very special romantics - Oh my do I love the romantics.

It's safe to say that everyone made me feel right at home and as I worked my magic on the rest of the day I left Tessa, Jack and their family and friends to party the night away. What a day, what a service, what a venue. I think it's safe to say this wedding will forever live on in my heart as one of my favourite weddings of all time.

Until we meet again......All my love your wedding photographer, Claire.
